Allen is a Philadelphia-based architect, builder, teacher, and scholar with ten years of experience in design, detailing and project management in the New York, Philadelphia & Atlanta areas. The son and grandson of engineers and architects, Allen’s academic training in philosophy (Rhodes College) and architecture (Georgia Tech) are met by a lifetime of direct experience with wood and metalwork. Allen continues to develop, present and publish scholarly work on design, building and embodied experience, speaking recently at the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture & the College Art Association.
